Construction Resources Names Frances Chang Director of Marketing

Construction Resources is excited to announce the newest addition to their team of specialty building supply professionals, Frances Chang. As the Director of Marketing, she will be responsible for marketing strategy development, public relations, media buying, digital media management, website maintenance and graphics/collateral for the company. Chang brings over 15 years of experience in the sports, entertainment and fashion industries to this position.
“We are very excited to welcome Frances to the team,” said Mitch Hires, president of Construction Resources. “Frances brings a fresh, new perspective to Construction Resources. She is very creative and will be able to draw on her experiences to build the kind of marketing program that we are looking for. Her innovative ideas and visionary thinking is just what the company of Construction Resources needs as it looks to initiate a stronger marketing presence.”
Chang most recently served as Digital Media Manager for UniverSoul Circus, where she implemented digital strategies, served as the voice of the organization via social networks and was responsible for media planning and development, graphic messaging and collateral. She has worked with the Atlanta Center for Puppetry Arts and Sports Legends Challenge and worked for over nine years at College Concepts as Senior Graphic Designer in apparel licensing. With her graphic design experience, Chang specializes in Photoshop, Freehand, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
Chang is a graduate of Furman University with a bachelor of arts in business administration.

Construction Resources Enjoys Unprecedented Sales Success

Last weekend was a great time to be in the market for kitchen and bath specialty goods, as it was Construction Resources Inc.’s annual spring sale. The sale was featured in a number of publications and even mentioned in the Jessica Shops sales special on Star 94 FM. Due to this and the great deals, the sale was one of the best ever for the company.
The turn out on Friday was the most ever for the biannual event. That surge coupled with the scores of shoppers eager to get great deals on Cambria Quartz countertops on Saturday, made this event the highest attended of any of the Construction Resources sales events. While this was great news, it also sets a high bar for the fall sales event, which will once more be a benefit. Last year, the benefit was for Homes for Our Troops. Construction Resources has an amazing weekend planned with exciting events for those looking for great deals and inspiration for remodeling projects and kitchen and bath products. For deal lovers, we are hosting our Spring Sale event at our facilities. Those seeking inspiration and a chance to see the coolest toys for the home can head to the Luxury Living Show. There, we put together the living kitchen with Cambria Quartz countertops.
At our facilities in Decatur, we will be hosting our huge Spring Sale event on this Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12. The sale will feature deep discounts on a number of products as well as giveaways for gift certificates, cheese boards and more. There will be over 30 experienced project managers on site to help with the selection process, and a shuttle will run guests all around out 13 acre facility. Construction Resources Supplies Materials for Luxury Living Show

Construction Resources is excited to be a part of Atlanta’s only Luxury Living Show. Hosted by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine and Buckhead’s Phipps Plaza, the show fills the mall with the very latest in home and design products, outdoor living and landscaping, luxury travel destinations and much more, including exhibits anchored by a full-sized, state-of-the-art “Living Kitchen” display in the center of Monarch Court. The show runs the entire month of May at Phipps Plaza and showcases work by an elite group of Atlanta designers and design trade companies.
Construction Resources has partnered with Cambria to provide the quartz countertops for the kitchen. The main countertop will be in Torquay, a chic and posh, understated cream complemented by swirls of gray and tan. The talented craftsmen at Construction Resources will cut a mitered 2.5 inch edge on the island top and a Small Ogee Edge on the perimeter. New Quay, a foggy gray with flecks of silver and black, will be used in a brick pattern behind the range. Both colors are from Cambria’s Waterstone Collection.
Coordinating tile from Traditions in Tile will also be used for the backsplash, and a drop top will be done in Heritage Wood by Atlanta Kitchen.
The show will include celebrity chef cooking displays by Art Smith and Anthony Gray, as well as the opportunity to meet celebrated landscaper, floral and interior designer James Farmer on Saturday, May 12. Book signings will follow the presentations.
