Atlanta Glass and Mirror is excited to share that we have recently procured two new, advanced pieces of equipment that will allow us to expand and enhance our custom glass options. The Schiatti FPD 60 Automatic Drill Machine and Schiatti Glass Edger, from one of the leading Italian glass tool artisans, will give us more flexibility and precision to improve our custom glass work for clients throughout the southeast. Schiatti tools have been around since the 1950s and have made tools for all over the world.
The Automatic Drill Machine will allow us to make a much more precise hole in the mirror and glass from a large light drill to a 1” hole, with less breakage and in a faster process, helping meet our goal to save time and money for our customers. The Glass Edger will allow us to provide a beautiful pencil polish edge that adds a great look alone with a factory cut edge that will minimize the black edge on a mirror as well as add life to the mirror. If you’re looking into home renovation for either enjoyment or sale and are wondering which area of your home to improve, there’s a trending option for enhancing your bathroom, one of the most highly-prized rooms in the house, by adding a wet room. A wet room is basically a shower room that has an open, fully waterproof area rather than a glass enclosure. You can either have a wet room on its own, or if your bathroom is on the smaller side, you can have a wet room with a shower screen or glass partition to keep the water where it needs to be. Wet rooms can be done with smooth concrete, specialty hardwoods and most kinds of tile flooring. Read More→
While we’re getting ready for our huge spring sales event on May 10th and 11th at our Decatur Design Center, there’s another big event in Atlanta that we are proud to be working on: the annual Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Luxury Living Show at Phipps Plaza’s Monarch Court, which opens the weekend of May 9th and runs through the rest of May! This annual exhibition of the highest quality home upgrades in Atlanta features some of the amazing services and products that we would be happy to bring home to you!
Atlanta Kitchen showcases Cambria as the Luxury Living Show with the beautiful Wellington Design from the Waterstone Collection. A churning brew of black and brown packs an iron-like punch in Wellington; this countertop makes an impressive, bold statement not for the faint of heart and will be right at home as a centerpiece in the kitchen. The Wellington island has a distinct three inch Mitred Edge that you will have to see to believe! Atlanta Kitchen and Cambria will also provide a morning bar in the Oakhampton Design to add to this dream kitchen. In addition, Builders Floor Covering and Tile provides Mohawk hardwoods for the kitchen flooring in a chevron pattern that shows off how durable, creative and downright beautiful hardwood flooring can be. On Saturday, May 11th, the display becomes an actual working kitchen with cooking demonstrations by Kyle Shankman, Resident Chef of Sur La Table and Chef Kathleen Miliotis of Davio’s. Read More→

Having a small bathroom in your home doesn’t mean having to suffer or undergo a big renovation. There are lots of tricks you can use to make small bathrooms feel bigger than they are and Construction Resources is ready to help with quality bathroom specialty products.
One of the easiest ways to change the size and feel of your bathroom is to change from the traditional vanity, which can take up space and be clunky in a smaller bathroom. You can replace it with a sink console, which is more open and airy and leaves space for décor. The other option is to go from a traditional vanity to a petite vanity, which takes up less space but is still enclosed so you can privately store necessities and toiletries. You can save space and look wonderful with a petite vanity of Cambria Quartz made from a remnant and we have many options to choose from at our slab gallery.
Another way you can make the space seem bigger is by using glass shower doors rather than a shower curtain. Even patterned or privacy glass will make the bathroom seem bigger, as opposed to cutting off the space with the shower curtain. You can also make the most out of the space with clever uses of shelving and towel bars, so that it doesn’t feel like the necessary items of the bath are crowding the space – organization is a must to make small feel big. One bathroom design trend that Construction Resources has long been ahead of is glass showers. This rapidly resurging trend is commonly found among the most stylish of bathrooms. Whether called a seamless or frameless glass shower, they are increasingly popular because they give bathrooms a modern and updated look. Many factors contribute to making them look—and feel—so luxurious.
Glass showers, with or without frames, can come in a variety of angles to suit tastes or blend into already existing bathrooms.
Doors are a very important part of the shower’s aesthetics. Shower doors should be both decorative and functional, or nearly invisible if the homeowner would like them to be.
The size of the shower is also important. More and more people are looking to have large and airy showers because of their luxurious feel.
Natural lighting is the perfect complement for a natural bathroom that has incorporated glass. Consider the positioning of windows and light fixtures when planning your shower. Read More→
The bathroom. It’s a room you look at everyday, multiple times a day. Do your gold faucets seem dated? Is the tile on the walls beginning to chip? Do you shudder every time you look at your farble (faux marble)?
The bathroom is small enough that you can give it a substantial makeover without spending a fortune. Let’s chat for a bit about different parts of your bathroom.
Showers and Tubs
Your shower keeps you clean and looking your best, shouldn’t you return the favor? If your shower’s door is outdated or has a dented frame, or if you are using a shower curtain that somehow continues to attract mildew, consider updating with new shower doors or a sleek frameless glass enclosure. Atlanta Glass and Mirror can help you find the perfect solution for your specifications and price range. If you want to indulge in a luxury cast marble tub, Atlanta Marble Manufacturing can find you the perfect fit.
