We are excited to share amazing Cambria counters and frameless shower enclosures at the Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Luxury Living Show!
While we’re getting ready for our huge spring sales event on May 10th and 11th at our Decatur Design Center, there’s another big event in Atlanta that we are proud to be working on: the annual Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Luxury Living Show at Phipps Plaza’s Monarch Court, which opens the weekend of May 9th and runs through the rest of May! This annual exhibition of the highest quality home upgrades in Atlanta features some of the amazing services and products that we would be happy to bring home to you!
Atlanta Kitchen showcases Cambria as the Luxury Living Show with the beautiful Wellington Design from the Waterstone Collection. A churning brew of black and brown packs an iron-like punch in Wellington; this countertop makes an impressive, bold statement not for the faint of heart and will be right at home as a centerpiece in the kitchen. The Wellington island has a distinct three inch Mitred Edge that you will have to see to believe! Atlanta Kitchen and Cambria will also provide a morning bar in the Oakhampton Design to add to this dream kitchen. In addition, Builders Floor Covering and Tile provides Mohawk hardwoods for the kitchen flooring in a chevron pattern that shows off how durable, creative and downright beautiful hardwood flooring can be. On Saturday, May 11th, the display becomes an actual working kitchen with cooking demonstrations by Kyle Shankman, Resident Chef of Sur La Table and Chef Kathleen Miliotis of Davio’s. Read More→

Atlanta Glass and Mirror Contributes to Aimee’s Wing
Posted by: | CommentsConstruction Resources company Atlanta Glass and Mirror is proud to have helped create Aimee’s Wing, the home addition for Aimee Copeland. This almost 2,000 square foot addition was made possible by the generosity of many builders, suppliers and contractors to help Aimee get around her home easier and begin rehabilitation. Aimee suffered a deep cut during a zip lining accident in May and then contracted a rare, flesh eating bacterial infection that lead to the amputation of one of her legs and both of her hands.
This addition was done “Extreme Makeover” style with a legion of volunteers and completed in less than one month. The addition features a study, bedroom, elevator and exercise studio, where Atlanta Glass and Mirror installed two mirror walls and towel racks. Atlanta Glass and Mirror also installed adjustable closet maid wire shelving in her bedroom closet and vanity mirrors in her bathroom. The home addition was spearheaded by Pulte Homes, who worked with Aimee to make sure the functionality and design met her needs. The Home Depot also helped remodel the great room and kitchen. Live Large in Small Bathrooms

Swapping out your vanity or doing a glass enclosure for your shower can make a small bath feel bigger.
Having a small bathroom in your home doesn’t mean having to suffer or undergo a big renovation. There are lots of tricks you can use to make small bathrooms feel bigger than they are and Construction Resources is ready to help with quality bathroom specialty products.
One of the easiest ways to change the size and feel of your bathroom is to change from the traditional vanity, which can take up space and be clunky in a smaller bathroom. You can replace it with a sink console, which is more open and airy and leaves space for décor. The other option is to go from a traditional vanity to a petite vanity, which takes up less space but is still enclosed so you can privately store necessities and toiletries. You can save space and look wonderful with a petite vanity of Cambria Quartz made from a remnant and we have many options to choose from at our slab gallery.
Another way you can make the space seem bigger is by using glass shower doors rather than a shower curtain. Even patterned or privacy glass will make the bathroom seem bigger, as opposed to cutting off the space with the shower curtain. You can also make the most out of the space with clever uses of shelving and towel bars, so that it doesn’t feel like the necessary items of the bath are crowding the space – organization is a must to make small feel big. Frameless, Seamless Glass Showers ‘Clear’ly a Hot Trend
Posted by: | CommentsOne bathroom design trend that Construction Resources has long been ahead of is glass showers. This rapidly resurging trend is commonly found among the most stylish of bathrooms. Whether called a seamless or frameless glass shower, they are increasingly popular because they give bathrooms a modern and updated look. Many factors contribute to making them look—and feel—so luxurious.
Glass showers, with or without frames, can come in a variety of angles to suit tastes or blend into already existing bathrooms.
Doors are a very important part of the shower’s aesthetics. Shower doors should be both decorative and functional, or nearly invisible if the homeowner would like them to be.
The size of the shower is also important. More and more people are looking to have large and airy showers because of their luxurious feel.
Natural lighting is the perfect complement for a natural bathroom that has incorporated glass. Consider the positioning of windows and light fixtures when planning your shower. Read More→
