Toronto-based Designer Ramsin Khachi in the Cambria Design Home Kitchen
Cambria quartz countertops are proud to announce their featured designer for Winter 2012, celebrated interior designer Ramsin Khachi. Khachi spearheads the Toronto-based Khachi Design Group, which he grew from a one-man construction company into a full service Design/Build firm. Khachi often appears on CTV’s Marilyn Denis Show and has also served as an expert for Benjamin Moore paints.
Khachi used Cambria as the unifying force in a recent design job that resurrected a 23-year-old split level in Oakville, a suburb west of Toronto. Never Too Early to Plan for Atlanta Winter Home Show Visits

For those of us that need to see how a product is going to look in a home, from a new appliance to a Cambria quartz countertop, there are some great upcoming opportunities to see, touch and play with some of the coolest house stuff around. The Atlanta Build, Remodel and Landscape Expo is held January 27-29, 2012. It is hosted at the Atlanta Exposition Center, just off of I285 by Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. The show features displays and top experts offering advice, tips and tricks for every home project. There will also be exhibits on kitchen and bath remodeling, basements, sunrooms, additions, windows, siding roofing as well as landscape installations. Cathedral Antiques Show Set to Inspire

If you are looking for design inspiration you won’t be disappointed by the 2012 Cathedral Antiques Show and Tour of Homes. This year designers will transform The Deanery on the grounds of the Cathedral of St. Philip in Buckhead into “Inspiration House.” Located in the prestigious Buckhead area at 2799 Andrews Drive the home will be open to the public Sunday, Jan. 29, Thursday-Sunday, Feb. 2-5 and Thursday-Sunday, Feb. 9-12. The Cathedral Antiques Show is scheduled for Feb. 2-4, 2012. Tickets to the Show, which include a tour of Inspiration House, will go on sale in December. This year’s show and tour benefit All About Developmental Disabilities (AADD).
Twenty talented designers will blend traditional and contemporary design inside and outside the classic five-bedroom, 4.5-bath 1980’s home, showcasing how antiques can be used throughout the two-story house to create living spaces that range from cozy to dramatic, and from casual to elegant.

New Cambria Colors Debut in Style at Eclipse di Luna

Earlier this month, Construction Resources debuted the new Cambria colors in style with a runway show and launch party at Eclipse di Luna.
Cambria recently introduced the Waterstone collection, a new portfolio of colors that captures the movement of water in vibrant and natural tones. Cambria offers more than 100 colors of American-made quartz surface, giving homeowners, designers and builders a local and eco-friendly choice when planning out kitchens, baths and more.
Models took to the red carpet to showcase the new colors in stunning dresses… made of Tyvek! That’s correct, the models wore designs made of house wrap and printed with each of the colors.
Mariel Hemingway arrived to talk about how Cambria fits into a holistic lifestyle. She recently moved into a new home with granite, but is having it all removed and replaced with Cambria. Cambria needs no sealing, so its indoor air quality is second to none.

Atlanta Cambria Color Launch With Mariel Hemingway Oct. 13

With the assistance of celebrity Cambria Advocate Mariel Hemingway, Atlanta Kitchen and Construction Resources will unveil full slabs of the new Cambria Waterstone collection at Eclipse di Luna on Oct. 13 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Homes for Our Troops is committed to helping those who have selflessly served our country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries since September 11, 2001. It aims to honor to assist severely injured Servicemen and Servicewomen and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and to coordinate the process of building a home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently. Get a Glimpse of Grant Park’s Style at the Tour of Homes

Atlanta’s Grant Park neighborhood is full of history, character and charm. All of that will be on display this fall during the Grant Park Tour of Homes, running September 25 and 26. This year’s theme is History and Harvest, showcasing the historical architecture and local food initiatives married by the community’s innovative homeowners.
Ticket holders will get an up-close look at the neighborhood’s historic homes, as well as tour micro-veggie gardens, urban chicken coops and even see how Nigerian dwarf goats are being raised in the middle of the city.
