When You’re at Home, Where do You Watch Football?
Posted by: | Comments
Football season is in full swing. When you’re at home, where do you watch the game? On your living room couch amidst the hustle and bustle of the rest of the family, or do you have a private oasis to root for your favorite team?
If you have an extra room or basement in your house, you have the perfect space to create a personalized media room. Here are a few ideas to get you started, and as always, our design experts can help you out with your project.
Paint the walls in your favorite team colors. Painting each wall in Steelers’ black, red, yellow and blue may be a bit overwhelming; but two or three walls in a neutral, white or grey and one or two walls in a team color or two that really pops can make a huge impact. Or, try painting stripes of varying widths in your team colors on a neutral base. If you want to really want to have your friends and neighbors talking, install a “pigskin” leather accent wall. Leather walls are a luxurious, soft and warm addition to any interior. They are great for acoustics, so would be perfect for when your crowd gets too loud, and can be upholstered in the color and look of your choosing. Read More→
New Cambria Colors Debut in Style at Eclipse di Luna
Posted by: | Comments
Earlier this month, Construction Resources debuted the new Cambria colors in style with a runway show and launch party at Eclipse di Luna.
Cambria recently introduced the Waterstone collection, a new portfolio of colors that captures the movement of water in vibrant and natural tones. Cambria offers more than 100 colors of American-made quartz surface, giving homeowners, designers and builders a local and eco-friendly choice when planning out kitchens, baths and more.
Models took to the red carpet to showcase the new colors in stunning dresses… made of Tyvek! That’s correct, the models wore designs made of house wrap and printed with each of the colors.
Mariel Hemingway arrived to talk about how Cambria fits into a holistic lifestyle. She recently moved into a new home with granite, but is having it all removed and replaced with Cambria. Cambria needs no sealing, so its indoor air quality is second to none.
If you did not get a chance to experience the full slabs of Cambria at the color launch, please visit our Decatur slab gallery and slab yard to get a good up-close look of the stunning choices.
All of the photos from the launch party are available to view on our Flickr page.
Did You Catch Us on “Fix This Kitchen”?
Posted by: | CommentsLast week we got to hang out with Mariel Hemingway, and now we’re stars of a TV show! Okay, not quite stars, but we did get to help complete a kitchen remodel for A&E’s Fix This Kitchen. The show aired Saturday and we think the end result was fantastic.
We assisted Humphries Homes to completely overhaul the kitchen of Steve and Christy in Decatur. Last year, Steve experienced a fire in the kitchen. While any dire repairs that were needed were made and the mess was cleaned up, the kitchen wasn’t ideal for Steve, who is a definite foodie. His wife Christy brought in the talented design team of Fix This Kitchen to help. Read More→

Visit Our New Expanded Slab Gallery
Posted by: | Comments
We pride ourselves on our expansive indoor slab gallery and outdoor slab yard, which lets homeowners, designers and builders see the actual slab that will be in their homes prior to fabrication. We even let you lay templates over the material so you know precisely where the veins in a particular piece of granite will line up.
To give buyers even more choice, we’ve just expanded our slab gallery 35 percent to a full 20,000 feet. That means you can stroll the aisles of massive slabs, feeling the material and seeing its true color in an indoor environment. We’ve made way for even more exotic granite materials, the new Cambria Waterstone collection and even Vetrazzo recycled glass countertops.
We stock more than 3,000 slabs and 2,000 remnants at all times. Since we are also fabricators, it reduces the time needed to complete your project. We love to work with Atlanta designers, or you can come in and speak with one of ours to design your dream space.
