Wanna Meet Cheryl Tiegs? Come to the 2011 Cambria Event

What do Cheryl Tiegs, Construction Resources and Cambria have in common? More than you might think. All three will be on hand Thursday, Feb. 3 at Eclipse di Luna in Buckhead for Cambria’s 2011 Color Launch Party. As Atlanta’s leading supplier of kitchen and bath products, it makes sense that Construction Resources will be offering guests a chance a sneak peek of this year’s finest quartz countertops. By now you probably get the connection between Construction Resources and Cambria, but what about Cheryl Tiegs? The answer is really quite simple. As a model, actress and former Sports Illustrated swimsuit covergirl, she knows beauty and elegance when she sees it.
Tiegs, a Cambria brand advocate since 2007, has been nationally praised for her beauty since she first appeared on the cover of Glamour magazine when she was just 17 . Her career really took off however when she was the cover girl of the 1970 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. She was later featured as the cover girl in 1975 and 1983.
Due to the exposure in Sports Illustrated, Tiegs went on to become a household name, going so far as being featured on the cover of TIME magazine as “The All-American Model.” From there she signed a $1.5 million contract with Cover Girl cosmetics and launched her own casual sportswear line.
In 1995 Tiegs was featured again in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, which was a testament to her lasting appeal. And in 2000, she was honored as the first MAC Fashion Icon for essentially being the original American supermodel.
