Atlanta Marble Manufacturing Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Atlanta Marble Manufacturing is happily celebrating its 40th anniversary this month and is looking forward to adding to its rich history.
Founded by Fred Hires, Sr. in 1970, Atlanta Marble has become one of the largest cultured marble and cast polymer manufacturing companies in the Southeast. Over the past four decades, the company has expanded quite a bit. From Atlanta Marble, seven different companies have flourished: Atlanta Kitchen, Atlanta Glass & Mirror, National StoneWorks, Innovative Surfaces, Florida Bath & Surfaces and Atlanta Garage Doors & Fireplaces. All of these companies are under the parent company of Construction Resources.
Today, the company is still majority owned and operated by Mr. Hires sons, Mitch and Fred E. (Sonny) Hires, Jr., who carry on their father’s vision of creating a one-stop-shop center for residential remodelers and builders. Atlanta Marble continues to be an innovator in the field by introducing new edge profiles and product lines.
